Sound and Color: Perceiving Scriabin's Unique Vision
Alexander Scriabin's innovative creative output predicted artistic and musical trends that are still coming into fruition in our modern era. This tribute concert by pianists Marianna Prjevalskaya and Kris Rucinski not only explores the evolution of Scriabin's compositional voice through presenting a representative survey of his piano sonatas and waltzes, but also expands on his multimedia vision by incorporating a reactive projected visualization inspired by the nuances of the composer's distinctive harmonic language.
