February 3, 2023 – The Music Center at Strathmore

Sergei Rachmaninoff, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43

INTERMISSION

Sergei Rachmaninoff, Symphony No. 2, Op. 27, E Minor
I. Largo - Allegro moderato
II. Allegro molto
III. Adagio
IV. Allegro vivace

NatPhil is proud to partner with The Mather and Grammy Award winning audio engineer, sound artist and designer Jody Elff on a virtual reality (VR) experience that will provide access to the concert hall. A 360º camera stationed in the Strathmore audience will livestream tonight's performance to participants wearing VR headsets, giving them the opportunity to experience the concert from the comfort of their homes as if they were in the audience. As a part of Mather Institute’s research, we are exploring the potential impact of VR to provide broader access to the arts.
