Based on the book by Rumer Godden
Composed by Steve Rouse
This is the story of a little mouse who proves to be different from all the other mice—she has dreams. When a Dove is brought to the house, the mouse overcomes her fear of his strangeness and differentness to become good friends with him. The Dove teaches the Mousewife all about freedom and the outside world. Through a combination of musical and theatrical arts, this story provides opportunities for emotional growth in the listener and touches on issues of personal freedoms, selfesteem, self-sacrifice, friendship, separation, and prejudice.

[CHORUS]
Fly free, forever free.
Spread your wings.
And leave your fear and worry.
Fly free, forever free.
Your dreams can lead you.
Find them and you’ll see.
[VERSE 1]
Right where we are, We make our start.
The time has come my friend.
But just remember this, These mem’ries are forever.
[CHORUS]
[VERSE 2]
Time to begin. We start within.
Remember this, my friend.
Wherever you may fly, My heart will always follow.
[CHORUS] (2X)
