A native of Pescara, Italy, cellist Paolo Chiavaroli began to study music and cello at the age of eight. He received his bachelor’s degree in cello performance from the Pescara State Conservatory in 2021, as a student of Professor Massimo Magri. He then undertook a year of studies at Spain’s prestigious Conservatory "Victoria Eugenia" of Granada, studying with Maestro Alberto Martos Lozano. In 2024, he graduated at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) with a master’s in music/performance, studying with Professor William Cernota. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in music/performance at Shenandoah Conservatory, as a student of Professor Julian Schwarz, planning to graduate in 2027.
Chiavaroli has performed in many cello masterclasses with such distinguished international cellists as Enrico Bronzi, Michael Dmochowski, Giuliano De Angelis, Sujari Britt and Neil Cary, as well as many other chamber music courses with renowned musicians as David Salness, Andrej Kurti, David Kim and Igor Kalnin. During his career Chiavaroli was member of different chamber and orchestral ensembles, including the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Southeast Missouri Orchestra, Symphonic Institution "Abruzzese," Orquesta Conservatorio "Victoria Eugenia" de Granada and Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra.
Chiavaroli speaks three languages fluently and he is working toward establishing a performing and teaching career in the United States.
Paolo Chiavaroli is from the studio of Julian Schwarz. This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance (Cello).
