From Forest, Virginia, Brienna Yates previously studied with Mrs. Alycia Hugo for five years. She also served as principal flute and piccolo in many ensembles, including the Roanoke Youth Symphony and Lynchburg Symphony Youth Orchestras. She was a finalist in the latter’s 2023 Concerto Competition. Yates attended the University of Lynchburg, and after transferring, she quickly became involved at Shenandoah University (SU). Outside of music, she is minoring in English and geography. Yates is part of four student organizations and serves on the exec board for three, including as Parliamentarian for the KE chapter of KKPsi, National Honorary Band Fraternity.
Amanda Brier is from the studio of Diane Atherton. This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Voice).
Brienna Yates is from the studio of Julietta Curenton. This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Flute).
