Honoring Tom McGuire

This annual event honors the late Tom McGuire's passion for music and his dedication to children's welfare. Tom was committed to building a better world through his philanthropy.

Featured Artist: Vienna Teng

Vienna Teng is an American pianist, singer-songwriter, and climate action advisor. This concert is one of only two performances in NC as part of her 2023 Tour. In 2002, Vienna released her debut album Waking Hour, landing her on NPR’s Weekend Edition, The Late Show with David Letterman, and the top of Amazon’s music charts. Four more albums followed, most recently Aims, which became the first album to win four Independent Music Awards. Check out her music videos here.

A Stanford computer science grad before she was a recording artist, she returned to academia in 2010 to study environmental sustainability, which led to a new career working on climate change, energy and waste issues. She is based in Washington DC.
