ALMOST, MAINE was developed by The Cape Cod Theatre Project.  Professional Premiere Production: Portland Stage Company, Anita Stewart, Artistic Director, Tami Ramaker, Managing Director.  Originally produced in New York by Jack Thomas/Bulldog Theatrical and Bruce Payne. ALMOST, MAINE is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

Linda Barsamian (Marvalyn, Marci)
Linda is happy for the opportunity to perform with Venice Theatre in this magical production of Almost, Maine. Holding a BFA in Theatre from the University of Detroit, she has a long history of theatrical productions.
 
Angie Benardo (Ginette)
Angie is so excited to be back at Venice Theatre in this wonderful production that promotes and encompasses so many stories of love in the time we need it most. Favorite roles include Ms. Strict (Zombie Prom), Cinderella’s Mother and Giant (Into the Woods), Ms. Cratchet / Electra (Gypsy - Sarasota Players).
 
Daniel Cole (Lendall, Dan)
Most recently seen at VT in Guys and Dolls, Assisted Living the Musical®: THE HOME for the Holidays, and The Jungle Book, Daniel has played in a half dozen other shows both here and elsewhere since 2016. He is grateful for the joy of being back on stage here at VT.
 
Stacy Gilson (Glory, Villian, Shelly, Rhonda)
Stacy is beyond thrilled to finally be back on stage at VT. Previous shows include The Jungle Book, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, South Pacific, and Once On This Island.
 
Lisa Hamilton (Gayle, Hope)
Lisa is a retired Episcopal priest who thanks God every day for Venice Theatre. She has volunteered at the theatre for several years with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, most recently with the students in the DynamicDrama class. On stage she played Dinah in The Dixie Swim Club. Thanks to fellow cast members, crew, and especially to Benny for this opportunity.
 
Rik Robertson (East, Steve, Phil)
Rik has missed theatre more than can be expressed in 50 words or less, and is elated to be back on the stage. He was most recently seen in Venice in the 2019 production of A Christmas Carol. “As always, love and gratitude to Allyson.”
 
Will Smith (Pete)
Will is a former Army sergeant and University of Colorado Geography grad who was born and raised here on Florida’s Gulf Coast. He has previously performed as Baloo in 2019’s The Jungle Book. “Thank you to my parents, who instilled in me a deep love of the spoken word.”
 
Kari Solum (Sandrine, Deena)
Kari is thrilled to return to Venice and participate in live theater again! Kari is a New College of Florida graduate and has been performing locally since she was a child. She was last seen as Clarice Starling in Silence! The Musical. Much love to her family, friends, and VT.
 
Kobe Timmons (Jimmy, Dave)
A recent graduate from North Port High where he performed in many shows, Kobe jumped right into VT’s SummerStock production of Young Frankenstein as Inspector Kemp. He is a competitive bowler and disc golfer.

Benny Sato Ambush (Director)
Benny is a veteran professional stage director and longtime member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), an independent national labor union. Nate Blaweiss (Sound Designer/Original Music Composer)
Nate is the Resident Sound Designer at Venice Theatre, recently designing for john and jen, Love Letters (composer), Menopause: the Musical, and Good People. Nate studied music at Florida State and remotely at University of Chichester, earning his MA in film scoring in 2018. You can see and hear some of Nate’s work at nateblaweiss.com.
 
Tim Wisgerhof (Scenic Designer)
Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, Tim is Venice Theatre’s Resident Scenic Designer. In Des Moines, he has designed for Stage West, Des Moines Onstage, The Des Moines Metro Opera and was previously the Resident Designer for The Des Moines Playhouse. Prior to returning to his home town of Des Moines, Tim worked in New York City. While there he served as the Window and Creative Director for Saks Fifth Avenue for 12 years, in addition to designing numerous theatre and television projects. He is a graduate of Drake University.
 
John Michael Andzulis (Lighting Designer)
In his 13th season at VT, John is glad to be a part of the VT family. He has a B.A. in Technical Theatre from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, and has continued his technical career with lighting and scenic designs for productions such as: Handy Award winning Metamorphoses; The Jungle Book; Urinetown; Inherit the Wind; Peter Pan; Ragtime; Sweeney Todd; Godspell; Boeing Boeing; Avenue Q; Hello, Dolly!; Smokey Joe’s Cafe; Radio Gals; Dreamgirls and A Christmas Carol. John thanks Harper for her continuous constructive criticism.
 
Brittany Hardison (Costume Designer)
Brittany graduated from East Carolina University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts Design and Production with a concentration in Lighting Design and Costume Construction. She had an internship with the Ocala Civic Theatre from May 2018-May 2019. She joined us for a summer internship in June of 2019, then sailed away on the Norwegian Pearl as the Wardrobe Supervisor. Brittany rejoined the Venice Theatre family, full-time, in March of 2021. Her first design to ever be seen on stage was in this summer’s VT performance of Once Upon a Mattress.
 
Lisa Million (Stage Manager)
Lisa started at VT as a stage manager in the TTAP program where some of her favorite credits include Spring Awakening, Jesus Christ Superstar, The King and I, Shout! The Mod Musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Always...Patsy Cline, and Greater Tuna. She is a graduate of The University of Central Florida’s B.F.A. Stage Management Program.
 
Mary Taylor (Assistant Stage Manager)
Mary, a former board member and 15-year VT volunteer, isthrilled to be a part of Almost, Maine. "Thank you Lisa for all your wisdom and patience."
 
Julie Kulin (Assistant Director)
Julie has been working with Venice Theatre since she moved to Florida from Erie, Pennsylvania over five years ago. During the day she works as a professional dog trainer for Off Leash K9 Training Sarasota. This is her directorial debut here, but she has been an active performer as well. She would like to personally thank Benny for sharing his knowledge and experiences with her. She would also like to show her gratitude for Sandy and Brad for believing in her and helping her to grow as an actress and director.
