Morgan is a native of The Woodlands, Texas, where she received her formal ballet training at Houston Ballet Academy. Upon graduation, she joined Colorado Ballet before earning her BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah. She went on to dance with Ballet West and Nashville Ballet before joining Alabama Ballet. Morgan has been grateful for opportunities to perform and compete internationally in China, Greece, Germany, and Romania. Since joining Alabama Ballet, some of her favorite roles have included Dewdrop Fairy, Lead Marzipan, Coffee, and Principal Hot Chocolate in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®; Two Day High in Christopher Stuart’s Under the Lights; Russian Girls in Balanchine’s Serenade; Bossa Nova and Tutti Fruitti in Dennis Nahat’s Blue Suede Shoes; Tiger Lily in Stuart’s Peter Pan; Mercedes in Don Quixote; and Harlot in Roger Van Fleteren’s Romeo and Juliet. One of her most cherished experiences was working with choreographer Christopher Bruce, and she was honored to perform “Blue Girl” in his ballet Sergeant Early’s Dream. In addition to performing, Morgan is a certified Gyrotonic® instructor and teaches ballet throughout the community. Her proudest moment and greatest joy was giving birth to her son, Farrell Sims, with her husband Nathan in March 2024.
