Alabama Ballet School provides exceptional ballet training in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Our mission is to inspire and educate students of all ages and backgrounds, fostering a love and appreciation for the art of ballet. Through our commitment to excellence in teaching and performance, we aim to develop dancers who are not only technically proficient but also artistically expressive and passionate about their craft. We believe in the transformative power of dance and strive to instill confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts in each of our students.
The Day Program is a conservatory program, the first of this kind in Alabama, offering high quality technical and artistic training for advanced dancers. Designed for students available for morning and afternoon training (homeschool and online students) it provides more hours of training while leaving evenings free to pursue other activities.
Intense classes in Ballet, Pointe, 4 Pointe Method, Variations, Partnering, Contemporary, Conditioning and Repertoire are part of the curriculum. Dancers in the Day Program work on overall technique and artistry while preparing for Performances, competitions, and a career in dance.
Dancers need to be 16 years of age by August 4th, 2025, to be considered for the program. Four years of pointe work experience is required.
