Shulin studied rigorous classical piano technique since early childhood. Her stunning natural musical ability was revealed to Western audiences once she moved to the USA. Before a chance meeting with  Ney Mello in 2022 she had no experience in jazz or jazz fusion, yet  in only one and a half years she has become a preternatural improvisational force, completely  defying all conventional logical expectations.
