Sam McCalla is honored to be a part of Barter's Resident Acting Company for the 2025 season. He was most recently seen as the title character in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet this spring on Barter’s Smith Stage. Favorite recent roles at Barter include Andy Dufresne in The Shawshank Redemption, Dennis in The Play That Goes Wrong, and Larry in Country Girls. Regionally, Sam has worked for Shakespeare Dallas, Circle Theatre, Dallas Children's Theater, Greenville Theatre, Casa Manana and The National Theatre for Children.
