Andy Patterson (he/him/his) was born in the heat of San Antonio, Texas, and raised among the cows of Amish Country in Chester County, Pennsylvania. His childhood was overflowing with adventure as a Boy Scout and Martial artist, but at thirteen, he traded it all for the stage as he discovered the world of theater and dropped everything to dive in. Nearly ten years, 30+ productions and countless rich artistic experiences later, he left the hallowed halls of Temple University with his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. In his free time, he is grateful to dedicate his time to a spiritual practice grounded in activism and self-reflection, a career teeming with creativity but balanced by visionary discipline, and a lifestyle led by learning. His work is underscored by his dedication to sustainable practices, and his yearning to make space for queer and othered voices of all kinds in the world, no matter what he is doing, where he is going, or who he is surrounded by. Andy would like to thank his dear loved ones, the kick-butt cohort at Margolis Method and his invaluable mentors at Temple University for molding him into the human and artist he is today. He is so freakin’ grateful to be with the Barter Players for their 2021-22 season and hopes you leave the theater today truly inspired by what you came to see. Let’s enjoy some art y’all!
