Lee Alexander Martin has been telling stories through the art of costume design and supporting performers at Barter since 2014. Some recent costume designs at Barter include Grandma Gatewood Took a Walk, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Trains, Clue, and The Play that Goes Wrong. Some of his favorite past creations include the costumes from The Producers, Richard III, Twelfth Night, Footloose, Ripcord, Airness, Uncanny Valley, and Doyle and Debbie. Lee has also worked in costumes at Virginia Shakespeare Festival, The Oxford Shakespeare Festival, and The Lost Colony. In 2013 he attained an MFA in Costume Design and Technology from The University of Florida. Lee is intensely grateful to share his journey with his amazing husband Dan, who lovingly makes life a great adventure for two.
