Susanne Boulle began her professional theatre career at Barter and is thrilled to be back. She recently directed Doo Wop at the Drive-In, Mary Poppins, Jr. and Alice in Wonderland at the Moonlite. Other Barter credits: Million Dollar Quartet, ELF, Eugene Wolf’s The Book of Mamaw, Sally McCoy, Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol, A Facility for Living, Civil War Voices, Blackbird, Travels With My Aunt, Of Mice and Men. Founding member of Barter’s First Light company— directing John Hardy’s masterpiece John Henry: Steel Driving Man, and her original adaptations of The Tempest, R&J, The Wizard of Oz, and Hercules. In NYC: The Actor’s Studio, Red Door, IRT, American Int’l Theatre, NYU/ the Atlantic Theatre. Member: The Actor’s Studio Playwrights and Directors Unit, Teaching Artist at Theatre For A New Audience. Development of new plays at Juilliard, NYU, Abingdon Theatre, and the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre. BFA, Western Carolina University.
