Kim Morgan Dean joined the Barter resident acting company in 2018, and is thrilled to be back in an indoor climate-controlled environment after spending last summer and winter at The Moonlite - as Patsy Cline, then Mary (The 12 Dates of Christmas). Favorite Barter roles include: Princess Fiona (Shrek), Kathy (Singin In The Rain), Truvy (Steel Magnolias), Susan (Wait Until Dark), and Judy (White Christmas). Previously, Kim was a company member at Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg, West Virginia, where she also served as the associate artistic director. Favorite GVT roles: Gwendolyn (The Importance of Being Earnest), Sally (Cabaret), Jo (Little Women), and Aldonza (Man of La Mancha). Other credits: Janet (Yankee Tavern at Florida Stage); Lisa (Collected Stories at Mosaic Theatre / Carbonell Nomination, Best Supporting Actress); Ginny in Relatively Speaking; Rosalind (Moon Over Buffalo at Florida Rep); and Mrs. Farley (Playhouse Creatures with Women’s Theatre Project). She is the recipient of the 2008 and 2009 Carbonell Best Supporting Actress Award for her performances as Wren (Body of Water at Mosaic Theatre) and Mairead (The Lieutenant of Inishmore with GableStage), respectively.
