Lee Alexander Martin is excited to be designing costumes at The Barter Theatre for his 6th season. Recently, Lee has designed costumes for Barter Theatre’s Productions of Elf: The Musical, Richard III, Steel Magnolias, The Lemonade Stand, Great Expectations, and Sally McCoy in 2018. Some of his favorite previous costume designs include Million Dollar Quartet, Footloose, Uncanny Valley, Over the River and Through the Woods, The Doyle and Debbie Show and The Barter Players’ touring production of Frosty. Lee has previously worked for The Virginia Shakespeare Festival in Williamsburg, The Lost Colony, the nation’s longest-running symphonic drama performed on North Carolina’s Outer Banks and Shakespeare Theatre New Jersey in Madison. In 2013, Lee attained his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
