American soprano Crystal Glenn has appeared in leading roles with Taconic Opera as Zerbinetta in Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos and Blonde in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Here in Lynchburg, she was featured as Kate Pinkerton in Opera on the James’ Madame Butterfly production last fall. Other operatic highlights include: Julie (cover) in Rhiannon Giddens’ & Michael Abels’ Pulitzer Prize winning opera Omar, with Carolina Performing Arts and the Spoleto Festival USA; Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Oscar in Un ballo in maschera with Taconic Opera; as well as Despina and Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Così fan tutte, with New York Opera Conservatory in Westchester County, NY.  Ms. Glenn holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ and a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music.
