Clare Shaffer (Director of Unhuddled) Clare Shaffer is a local director and producer who works across genres and specializes in new play development and contemporary musicals. Recent directing credits include NNPN's rolling world premiere of ALABASTER at Kitchen Dog Theater, the DFW regional premiere of A DOLL’S HOUSE: PART 2 at Stage West, and productions of WEST SIDE STORY and THE SECRET GARDEN at The Stolen Shakespeare Guild. Producing credits include Taphouse Theatre's virtual new play festival 'Shelter In Place', Nu Sass Productions' 'Nu Drafts: A New Play Bar Crawl', and Olney Theatre Center's 'Pulitzer Prize Festival'. Clare has collaborated on over 50 new plays and musicals in various stages of development. She moved to Greenville recently and this is her first local collaboration— thank you to the wonderful Centre Stage staff for this opportunity and to this cast for making her feel so welcome!
