Brian has been Education Director of Curtain Call, Inc. for sixteen years, producing, promoting and providing year-round educational workshops and programs for kids, teens and adults, as well as producing both Curtain Call’s Summerstock workshops by day and Curtain Call’s Summer Youth Theatre by night. He has been seen in multiple Curtain Call productions (most recently Disaster and Into the Woods) and has directed many more including all seven productions of A Merry Mulberry Street Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone (SYT), Matilda (SYT), It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman the Musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and others. Brian was a founding member of Curtain Call’s Summer Youth Theatre and sat on its very first youth board of directors along with his brother Jeff. Brian graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 1995 having studied fine arts and theatre, and from The National Shakespeare Conservatory in 1998. He was a member of Actor’s Equity Association for several years and performed with Bridgeport Free Shakespeare, The Lamb’s Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre and National Theatre for the Performing Arts among others, and also worked as an assistant stage manager for The Radio City Christmas Spectacular productions in Branson, MO, Phoenix, AZ and Milwaukee, WI, and a production assistant for Long Wharf Theatre. He has written and directed educational plays that have toured the country and has been directing and mentoring young actors since 1996.
