is thrilled and honored to have been asked back for his second SYT show after directing Pippin in the summer of 2017. Among some his favorite directorial projects are City of Angels, When We Are Married, and Accomplice (Curtain Call), The SpongeBob Musical (Fairfield Center Stage), The Music Man (Bridgeport Theater Company), Fiddler on the Roof (Downtown Cabaret Theater), Sly Fox, Julius Caesar, and Book of Days (The Darien Players), Poseidon: An Upside Down Musical, Disaster, Chess, and The Cluesual Suspects (Carriage House Arts Center). Being a huge fan of Dame Agatha Christie, Joel has also directed Go Back for Murder (Darien Players), Spider’s Web (Westport Community Theater), Black Coffee (Carriage House Arts Center), The Mousetrap, And Then There Were None, The Unexpected Guest, Murder on the Orient Express, and most recently, A Murder Is Announced (Curtain Call). He is excited to be returning to Monkswell Manor and The Mousetrap here at Curtain Call in March of 2024. More importantly, he’d like to thank the amazing cast and crew of The Addams Family for all their hard work, talent, patience and flexibility. He’d also like to thank the audiences that come to see the shows. Without you, we wouldn’t be here. But most importantly, he’d like to thank his mishpocha for putting up with his mishegas every moment of every day.
