Dr. Perry Ward, baritone, holds degrees in voice and opera from the St. Louis Conservatory, New England Conservatory, and Temple University. He earned his doctorate from the University of Kentucky. Perry has had a distinguished career as a performer having appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Cleveland Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Knoxville Symphony, and Knoxville Opera, among many others. He has also worked as a director, conductor, and actor. Perry is Associate Professor of Music at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
