Porter Parish started playing the clarinet in 4th grade. Most days, instead of lunch with friends he chose to go to the music room to practice and ask his teacher for new music. His love for the clarinet grew despite the challenges of virtual learning and Zoom lessons. Porter is also an All-State diver and enjoys playing golf. He moved from Arlington, VA the summer before his senior year and will be graduating this spring from the McCallie School. He will be attending the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in the fall and majoring in musical performance.
