Mezzo-Soprano Madeleine Christopher is originally from State College, Pennsylvania. She is currently in her second year of study at the Eastman School of Music, under the tutelage of Kathryn Cowdrick. From Shakespeare to Mozart, Madeleine enjoys a wide range of performance. Some of her recent performance highlights include Desdemona (Shakespeare’s Othello), Dolly (Hello, Dolly!) and Dorabella (Selected scenes from Cosí fan Tutte). She will make her debut with Eastman Opera Theatre as the Witch in H&G: A Great and Terrible Story in January of 2025. She has been a featured soloist with the Eastman Chorale, The State College Choral Society and Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra, and in the Eastman Bach Cantata Series. Additionally, she is a member of the esteemed Schola Cantorum of Christ Church Rochester under the baton of Stephen Kennedy. She can be found on Instagram and Facebook @mad.mezzo.
