Nicholas Gryniewski
Bass/baritone

Nicholas Gryniewski is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Western Ontario, pursuing a Bachelor of Music Degree with Honours in Voice Performance under the tutelage of Canadian Baritone James Westman. His artistic journey is enriched by a diverse training background, including immersive experiences in programs like Nuova Vocal Arts and Chautauqua Conservatory, as well as guidance from esteemed mentors like Barbara Prins, collectively contributing to his evolution as an engaging performer.


Nicholas has notably graced the stage in a range of compelling roles, from productions such as I Due Timidi, Barbiere Di Siviglia, La Cenerentola, Albert Herring, Gianni Schicchi, Falstaff, L’Incoronazione di Poppea, and The Fairy Queen. Nicholas’ other performance credits include public masterclasses with artists such as Marion Newman Nege’ga, Rachel Calloway, Dominic Armstrong, Jonathan Beyer, Rhoslyn Jones, Liz Upchurch, David Bowser, and Brett Polegato. His remarkable vocal talents have acquired multiple awards, including the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Grade 9 and 10 National Gold Medal, the IRCPA (International Resource Centre for Performing Artists) Louis Quilico scholarship, and a first-place distinction at the Ontario Music Festival Association's provincial Diploma Class.
