A 19 year-old pianist from Singapore, pianist Vivian Li has been playing the piano since the age of 5. She is currently a junior pursuing a BM in Piano Performance at the Eastman School of Music.
Vivian is a prizewinner at numerous international competitions, including First Prize at the 2021 PianoHouse International Piano Competition, Third Prize at the 2019 Chicago International Music Competition and Festival and Second Prize in the 2020 Singapore Steinway Youth Piano Competition. She was also selected to participate in the 2021 International e-Piano Junior Competition.
An avid performer, Vivian has performed in many halls around the world such as Weill-Carnegie Hall (USA), Victoria Concert Hall (Singapore), Suginami Koukaidou Hall (Japan), Eunpyeong Culture and Arts Center (Korea) and The Chopin Center in Szafarnia (Poland). In 2019, she also made her concerto debut with the Braddell Heights Junior Orchestra in Singapore performing Mozart Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat major. Apart from performing and participating in various competitions and festivals, Vivian has also had the honour of playing in several masterclasses conducted by renowned pianists including Alan Chow, John Perry, Steven Spooner, Dario Ntaca and Adam Gyorgy.
Additionally, Vivian is also passionate about chamber music and has been fortunate to have been a member of two trios in the past four years that have been invited to perform in local venues such as the National Gallery Singapore and the Evelyn Norris Auditorium. As she enjoys giving back to the community through her music, she has also performed in hospitals and community centers in the hopes that her music will bring a smile to her audience's faces.
Currently a student of Alexander Kobrin, Vivian's past teachers include Steinway Artist Benjamin Loh.
