Pianist Peijun Wang has been studying piano for twelve years since the age of ten, and his former teachers include Tianying Zhao and Zhe Tang. He is currently a graduate student at the Eastman School of Music pursuing a Master of Music degree in piano performance with Alexander Kobrin. He has been to many music festivals in the past, including the Shanghai International Piano Fesitival &Institute Committee in 2014 and 2016, "Silk Road " International Piano Fesitival &Academy in 2015, European Piano Festival in in the summer of 2017, the 2019 North Coast Piano Festival, 2022 Gijon Music Festival in Spain and 2022 Chautauqua Piano Program. He has been prize winners for several competitions, including first prize in the 2018 PEARL RIVER·HEILMANN INTERNATIONAL PIANO ART FESTIVAL, second prizes in the Chautauqua Piano Competition in the 2022, third prizes in the 2015 Shanghai Piano Open Competition, the 4th Internationaler Deutscher Irmier -Klavierwettbewerb in Qingdao, Shanghai Spring International Music Festival and the alternate performer of Nashville Chopin Competition in 2023. He has performed in masterclasses for Robert Mcdonald,Julian Martin,Jerome Lowenthal, Douglas Humpherys, Barry Snyder, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Kathryn Brown, Olga Kern, Boris Slusky, Sara Davis Buechner, Alan Chow and Danwen Wei. Besides performing solo, Peijun is also passionate about collaborative piano. He won the Best Piano Accompaniment award in China International Chorus Festival in 2018.
