Alison Wang is a violist currently pursuing her Masters of Music at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Carol Rodland. Alison earned her Bachelor of Music in Viola and Medicine, Health and Society at Vanderbilt University studying with Kathryn Plummer and Eric Wong. At Vanderbilt, Alison was the recipient of the Linde B. Wilson Scholarship as well as the Jean Keller Heard Prize. Her previous summer festivals include Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Round Top Festival Institute, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and Aspen Music Festival and School, where she was principal viola with the Aspen Conducting Academy Orchestra under full fellowship. During her time at Vanderbilt, Alison served as principal viola in the Vanderbilt Orchestra and Vanderbilt Opera Orchestra. She is also a substitute with the Nashville Symphony. In her free time, Alison enjoys reading, running, and playing with her dog Riley.
