Ayana Dalley
Violin

Ayana Dalley is a British-Japanese violinist driven by an unwavering passion for orchestral and chamber music and is currently pursuing violin performance abroad as a junior at the Royal Academy of Music. Her musical journey began at the age of five, laying the foundation for a lifelong dedication to artistic excellence, collaboration, and expressive storytelling through music. Born in Wales and raised in Dallas, Ayana was shaped early on by a rich and diverse musical environment that encouraged both technical discipline and creative exploration.

Throughout her formative years, Ayana was mentored by Dallas Symphony Orchestra musicians Jina Lee and Lucas Alemàn, whose guidance instilled in her a strong technical foundation, musical curiosity, and a deep appreciation for ensemble performance. She has since distinguished herself as a leader and performer, serving as concertmaster of the Northwestern Chamber Orchestra and winning the 2017 Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Philharmonic Competition, which led to her solo debut at the age of 13.

Ayana’s artistic development has been further enriched through intensive chamber music studies with Professor Philip Lewis and the Dover Quartet, experiences that deepened her commitment to collaborative music-making and interpretive depth. She is currently studying under Philippe Honoré at the Royal Academy of Music and Professor Blair Milton, a former Chicago Symphony Orchestra violinist, at Northwestern University, where their mentorship continues to shape and refine her musical voice.

Dedicated to constant growth, Ayana has participated in master classes with internationally renowned musicians including Chee-Yun Kim, Andrès Cárdenas, Paul Kantor, Ilya Kaler, and Pinchas Zukerman. Through every performance, she strives to inspire, connect, and share music with sincerity, energy, and purpose.
