Milo Klise is a cellist from Berkeley, California, currently studying at the DePaul School of Music in Chicago. This year, he served as the 2025-2026 Artist in Residence at the University of Arizona. He has performed as a soloist with the Oakland Civic Orchestra and appeared in recitals throughout the Bay Area, Chicago, and Cleveland. Klise’s orchestral experience includes three seasons with the acclaimed San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra and performances with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, where he has collaborated with world-renowned conductors such as Leonard Slatkin, Gustavo Dudamel, JoAnn Falletta, and Anthony Parnther. Equally devoted to chamber music, Klise participated in the Advanced Piano Trio Program at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the direction of Sharon Robinson, collaborating with master artists including Jaime Laredo, Jessica Lee, Todd Phillips, and Keith Robinson.
Over the years, Klise has participated in master classes with an array of talented faculty: Richard Aaron, Bonnie Hampton, Astrid Schween, Mike Block, Evan Kahn, Christine Lamprea, Joseph Lin, Sterling Elliott, Cho-Liang Lin, Dover Quartet, and the Catalyst Quartet to name a few.
Above all, Milo expresses deep gratitude to his extraordinary teachers: Dr. Melissa Kraut, Richard Weiss, Sébastien Gingras, Dr. Thomas Mesa, and Cathy Allen Aird, whose guidance, artistry, and generosity have profoundly influenced his development and continue to inspire his pursuit of excellence.
