David Lawrence is a Cleveland-based violist studying at the Cleveland Institute Music who is already shaping a multifaceted career as a solo performer and an avid chamber and orchestral musician. A current student of Jeffrey Irvine and former student of Renee Skerik and Mallory Todd, David has established an international career, with performances at the likes of Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Severance Hall, and the Garth Newel Music Center where he appeared twice as an Emerging Artist Fellow. Other festival and masterclass appearances include the Kronberg Academy Viola Masterclasses, the Encore Chamber Music Institute, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Interlochen Viola Intensives, and the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, among others.
