Gordan Liu joined the Canton Symphony Orchestra in 2022 where he serves as a 2nd chair violist. He also serves as section musician in the Akron Symphony Orchestra. Liu has participated in numerous summer festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival and Chautauqua Music Festival as a fellow. As a soloist, he performed with the Academy Symphony Orchestra (Hong Kong) and gave recitals in Hong Kong and the U.S.. As a chamber musician, Liu has performed with the Cavani String Quartet, Cong Quartet.  
Liu completed his Master of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music in May 2024. Where he was a student of Lynne Ramsey, former first assistant principal viola of The Cleveland Orchestra. Prior to that, he earned a bachelor degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under the tutelage of Dr. Felix Ungar. He is pursuing his Graduate Diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the guidance of Lynne Ramsey and Wesley Collins, principal viola of The Cleveland Orchestra.
