Andrew Nelson is a junior undergraduate bassoonist at the Indiana University Bloomington Jacobs School of Music, where he studies with Kathleen McLean. He is also pursuing a degree in marketing at the Kelley School of Business. 
Originally from Mars, Pennsylvania, Andrew previously studied bassoon with Grace Houde. He spent the summer at the Aspen Music Festival and School, where he continued his musical development in an intensive performance-focused environment. Deeply engaged in chamber music, Andrew values collaborative performance as a central part of his musical life alongside the orchestral stage.
