Victoria McGrath is a versatile, dynamic artist who makes her home in opera, concerts, recitals, and new works. A passionate interpreter of contemporary and classical roles alike, Victoria has been praised for her expressive stage presence and crystalline voice. This season, McGrath made her house debut as an apprentice artist with Sarasota Opera, where she covered Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro under the baton of Louis Lohraseb, in addition to performing excerpts from Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, and operatic rarities by Bellini (La straniera) and Verdi (Aroldo). In May, she was awarded a Finalist Award from the Jensen Foundation. In June, she originated the role of Maria in the world premiere of Dan Asia's Tin Angel with Teatro Grattacielo. Critics unanimously praised Victoria's clear, fluid voice and performance that conveyed both emotional depth and vocal control.
