Monsieur Vogelsang

Antoin Marshall, tenor from Montego Bay, Jamaica made his professional debut with the Bloomington Chamber Opera singing Zodzetrick and Andy in their chamber presentation of Treemonisha by Scott Joplin.This season he will play: The Magician The Consul, Husband Les Mamelles Tirésias and Stranger Markheim. Other operatic roles include: Wild Boar Les Malheurs d’Orphée, Pinellino Gianni Schicchi, Richard Dauntless Ruddigore, Peter Quint Turn of the Screw and Oronte Alcina. He recently completed his studies in the Lieder Studio of the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz, Austria in the summer of 2024 and in the Castleton Festival in Virginia in the summer of 2025. He has been named a William Winter Scholar by former Governor of Mississippi, William Winter at the Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration and given the Wayne Brown Award for the Performing Arts for his contributions to music. Antoin is currently completing his doctorate at the University of South Carolina where studies with Dominic Armstrong. Outside of music, Antoin is an amateur chef who enjoys cooking meals for friends.
