Valerie Xu-Friedman, a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, is a musician currently pursuing majors in Communications and Media and Violin Performance at the University of Michigan. Under the tutelage of acclaimed violinist Danielle Belen, Valerie's musical journey has continued, showcasing her exceptional skills and deep passion for the violin. In addition to her musical pursuits, Valerie is a dedicated advocate for the arts, recognizing their power to unite communities and inspire change. She actively seeks collaborative opportunities with fellow artists and organizations, using her platform to promote artistic expression and social engagement.

Valerie is the recipient of The William F. Northrop Memorial Music Scholarship.
