Mack Jones is a violist from Greenville North Carolina. He began studying on the viola at age 3 with John Wright, and his other teachers have included Glenna Theurer and Jorge Richter. He currently studies at the Eastman School of Music with Phillip Ying, in viola performance. Mack has studied music at East Carolina University with Jorge Richter and has performed in masterclasses by Ara Gregorian and Hye-Jin Kim. He has participated in the Summer Chamber Music Festival at East Carolina University since 2015 and was a member of NYO-USA for its 2021 and 2022 seasons, performing virtually, and at concert halls in Amsterdam, Berlin, Ravello, and Lucerne.

Mack is the recipient of the Chautauqua Women's Club General Scholarship, The Lillian B. Bullock Scholarship, and The Reed Family Scholarship.
