Uma Singh is a soprano from Cleveland, Ohio. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Voice and Opera Performance at Northwestern University. In 2021, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a minor in German. At the University of Michigan, she appeared as Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, as well as in the ensembles of Bernstein’s Candide and Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. In the past summer, she attended the Collaborative Piano Institute, the Middlebury German for Singers Program, and the Brancaleoni International Music Festival. Uma made her debut as Erste Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in March, and her role debut as Alcina in Handel’s Alcina in May, both with Northwestern Opera Theatre.
