Tenor Evan Katsefes has performed in opera, recital and concert throughout the United States. Mr. Katsefes studies at The Manhattan School of Music in pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance in the studio of Marlena Malas. This is Evan’s fourth Summer as a student in the Voice Program. Recent engagements include a workshop reading of The House on Mango Street by Cisneros/Bernal with Chautauqua Opera and The Opera Theater of St. Louis, Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Castleton Estate, and this July, Evan will make his debut as Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi by Puccini as a member of the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory whilst covering the role of Rinuccio. Evan’s time spent outside of his life in music is filled with adventurous travel, cooking, and supporting the arts in and around New York City, which he calls home.
Evan is the recipient of the Marlena Malas Scholarship Fund.
