Anna Klausli
Mezzo-soprano

Anna Klausli, a native of both Stuttgart, Germany and Columbia, South Carolina, started seriously pursuing classical voice at the age of 17 under her current teacher, Rachel Calloway. Today she is a rising senior at the University of South Carolina School of Music, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. Anna has competed in the national level in the NATS competition and has won first place in the Schmidt Highschool Competition as well as placed as a semi-finalist in the Schmidt Undergraduate Competition. Over the past summer, Anna, has additionally participated and performed in the Lieder Studio program at the American Institute for Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. Anna has sung in University of South Carolina’s Opera at USC productions of La Belle Helene and recently sung the part of third Knabe in their production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.

Anna is the recipient of the Chautauqua Women's Club Cheryl Gorelick Scholarship “In Memory of Ken Gorelick, MD” and the Grover Family Scholarship Fund.
