Amongst colleagues, Eric Reigelsperger is described as extraordinarily lyrical and musical. He started double bass at 13, studying with Ben Grabell, where he quickly grew and has played with multiple groups in the Cincinnati Area. Eric has performed with the OMEA All-State Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra Philharmonic, and the Cincinnati Community Orchestra. In addition, he was an active member of the CSO Nouveau Pre-Conservatory Chamber Program, which he played as part of the CSO Pops’ Classical Roots 2022 concert at Music Hall. Moreso, Eric received the Norman E. Johns Chair Award in January 2022. Eric started his college studies at the University of Cincinnati: College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) in the fall of 2022 under the direction of Rachel Calin. In addition to studying music performance, he is pursuing a second degree in International Affairs. While at CCM, he has played in concerts with the CCM Concert Orchestra, CCM Philharmonia, and CCM Wind Symphony.
Eric is the recipient of the Dietrich Family Endowment for Music at Chautauqua.
