Kate Reynolds
Viola

Kate Reynolds, 21, enjoys a multi-faceted musical career through her diverse background as both a violinist and violist. A St. Louis native, she first began studying violin at the age of nine with instructors Deborah Bloom and Joo Kim from the St. Louis Symphony. An active performer on both instruments, her most recent musical endeavors include the Arianna Chamber Music Festival, Green Mountain Chamber Festival, and Rocky Ridge Music Festival. She also frequently plays in the viola section of the Lexington Philharmonic. This year she performed as a violist and violinist in masterclasses for Edgar Meyer and Marcin Arendt, respectively. Kate is currently studying viola with Karen Ritscher at The Chautauqua Institution. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree with experience on violin and viola at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. She studies full-time with teachers Carolyn Huebl (violin) and Christina McGann (viola).

Kate is the recipient of the Elke Kieserling Hoppe Scholarship, The Danny Kayne Music Scholarship Fund, and The Carnahan-Jackson Scholarship Fund.
