Dena Levy was born in Dallas, Texas and began playing horn when she was 10 years old. This past April she graduated from the University of Michigan with an Undergraduate degree in French Horn Performance under the instruction of Professors Adam Unsworth and Bryan Kennedy. This fall she plans to begin her Masters in Music degree at Northwestern University under the instruction of Gail Williams and Jon Boen.

Dena is the recipient of the Samuel R. McClure II Brass Scholarship, the G. Thomas & Kathleen Harrick Music Scholarship, and The Reed Family Scholarship.
