Siyuan turned to the world of piano performance after completing a double bachelor's degree in physics and music at the University of California, Santa Barbara, recognizing the vast possibility of human subjectivity and inspiration. He is currently studying at the University of Arizona, pursuing a DMA degree under the instruction of a Steinway Artist, John Milbauer. Ever since he entered the major, he actively participated in events and performances. He attended the Chautauqua Institute Piano Program during the summer of 2021, where he had extensive interactions and studied with prestigious pianists and faculties. In the university, he won first place and the audience prize in the annual Lois Trester piano competition and was granted the full tuition scholarship upon admission. He was recently granted the second prize in Aloha international piano competition's young artist category, and also first prize group with a score of 96/100 in Orbetello International Online Piano Competition.
Siyuan is the recipient of the Richard W. Antemann Memorial Scholarship and the Felicia and Andy Landis Memorial Fund.
