Charlotte Jakobs, a Belgian soprano, is a senior pursuing a bachelor of music at the Manhattan School of Music, studying with Marlena Malas. She performed Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel for the MSM sophomore opera scenes and the roles of Valetto and the Primo Soldati in L’incoronazione di Poppea for the MSM Undergraduate Opera Theatre opera. This summer she took part in the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory, performing the role of la prima conversa in Suor Angelica. This semester she is looking forward to performing the role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro for the MSM undergraduate opera theatre Mozart by the dozen scenes.
