Mira Vaughn is a recent graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying viola with Jeffrey Irvine and Lynne Ramsey. Mira has performed professionally with the Maryland Symphony, Reading Symphony, Baltimore Choral Arts Orchestra, and Columbia Orchestra. Festivals attended include Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI), Bowdoin International Music Festival, Interlochen Viola Institute, and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. She has been selected to perform in master classes for Sheila Brown, Karen Ritscher, Susan DuBois, Kirsten Docter, Michelle LaCourse, Daniel Sweaney, and Catherine Lees. In the fall, she will begin studies at the Tianjin Juilliard School in Tianjin China, having received a fellowship award for their Chamber Music Studies masters degree program. She performs on a 2016 viola made by Hiroshi Iizuka.
