Ekaterina Eibozhenko
Viola

Ekaterina Eibozhenko is a classical violist and educator born and raised in Moscow. She is a vibrant musician with a deep appreciation for Russian performing traditions, with a huge interest of expanding her horizons with other schools and techniques. She is an alumni of Gnessin Education system, where she studied with Victoria Dyomina and Anna Sazonkina. During her time in Moscow, she participated in numerous festivals and performed at such venues as Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Svetlanov Hall of Moscow House of Music and Zaryadye Concert Hall. As the part of the orchestra, she worked with numerous conductors, including Victor Lutsenko, Vyacheslav Valeev, Igor Gromov, Leonard Slatkin, Perry So, George Manahan, Pavel Gershtein and Valery Polyansky. She participated in viola master-classes with Yuri Bashmet Moscow Conservatory Viola Department. She also finds her joy in teaching: Ekaterina currently holds a private studio and worked with El-Sistema based music education programs, providing high quality violin and viola lessons to children of underserved communities. Ekaterina holds her BM from Manhattan School of Music where she studied under Karen Ritscher and currently she continues her studies as a Master’s student at the same institution.
