Andy Sousa

Andy Sousa graduated from Escuela National de Ballet de Cuba in 2015. During his studies at ENB, he had the opportunity to perform Pas d’Esclave variation from Le Corsaire, Tchaikovsky variation, Swan Lake Act 3 variation, La Bayadere Grand Pas de DeuxPaquita Grand Pas de Deux, and Legion, a Neo classical ballet, and he learned from such teachers as Martha Iris Fernandez, Ibis Montoto, Ramona De Saa, Felix Rodrigues, Svetlana Violeta Ballester, Ana Julia Bermudez de Castro, and Lazaro Carreños. Upon graduation, he joined the National Ballet of Cuba, and performed in their Corps de Ballet until 2016 when he joined the Classical Ballet Company of Sinaloa, Mexico. He then relocated to the United States, performing with Florida Classical Ballet, Indianapolis Ballet, and Cleveland Ballet, before joining Milwaukee Ballet Company in 2019. There, he worked with teachers and choreographers such as Adiarys Almeida, Taras Domitro, Ernesto Diaz, Michael Pink, Mireille Favarel. Throughout his performance career, his repertoire has included La Fille Mal Gardee Pas de DeuxDon Quixote Grand Pas de Deux, Arabian, Russian, Chinese, and Spanish leads from The NutcrackerCarmenSwan LakeCoppelia, and Czardas, as well as contemporary works. Now a freelance performer, Andy has also begun venturing into a modeling career.
