David Jennings

Chicago native David Jennings is a composer, drummer, vibraphonist, clinician and teacher with more than 40 years of experience in the Chicago and Los Angeles music scenes. His personal discography of original recordings include: A Clear View 1995, Essence of the Soul 2000, Eternity 2006, No Words 2016, Peace Be 2019, and Dancing A Life 2019. David has a new recording entitled Faith of a Flower, which will be released in the fall of 2021. David has a BA in Music Theory from DePaul University and a MA in Computer/Electronic Music Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. David is currently teaching Music Theory, Composition, Applied Percussion and Jazz Combo at the College of Lake County. He also taught Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Theory/Improv at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago from 2003-2016. David has shared the stage at various festivals with Bela Fleck, Bruce Hornsby, Roy Hargrove, Paquito D`Rivera, Gary Willis, Marco Mendoza, Terrance Blanchard, War and Three Dog Night.
