Alana Fuchs

Alana Fuchs (Johnson) is an independent artist working in the Chicagoland area. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Studies from Eastern Illinois University and an Associates of Art at the College of Lake County (Dance). She began educating young dancers in 2003 and has continued to teach across Northern Illinois since then. Her skill and performance experience include modern, contemporary, jazz, ballet, hip hop, capoiera, Indian, African, and Argentinian belly dancing. She is currently choreographing for McHenry Community High School and a founding member of L-Theory Collective (2013). She has danced with Dmitri Peskov Dance Theatre (2015), Valerie Alpert Dance Company (2010-2015), and B.I.S.I. Dance Company (2014-2015).  Her choreography has been showcased by L-Theory Collective, Revelations Dance Company and the College of Lake County where she contributed as a performer and choreographer 2006-2018. Dance performance has taken her throughout the U.S. and internationally to Mexico, Taiwan and across China. She aims to build her performance and choreography portfolio while making a creative impact inspiring young dancers. Alana enjoys spending time with her friends and family, yoga, hiking, traveling, and her work in Global Supply Chain for cancer diagnostics.
