Leah Hansen, Principal Cello of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, began her cello studies at the age of three. Leah has performed with the Pacific Symphony and the YMF Debut Symphony Orchestra and has won several prestigious competitions, including the L.A. Cello Society Scholarship Competition and the Mondavi Young Artist Competition.

Leah’s quartet, Quadraphonic, toured the city of Missillac, France during the summer of 2018 and performed in various venues throughout the city. Leah earned her Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Cello Performance at the USC Thorton School of Music and was a scholarship recipient in the Academy program at the Colburn School of Music under the tutelage of Ronald Leonard.
